Near the end of 2025, Ruzzel, Katnisse, Gabby and I finally confirmed we were having a sleepover. We have been planning on it for ages but could never find a day that we were all free.

Around 12pm, Gabby and I were looking out the window, keeping our peeled for Katnisse and Ruzzel. After waiting awhile, we heard someone knock on the door. We raced each other downstairs and saw Katnisse at the door. All 3 of us went to the attic and started planning our revenge on Ruzzel to jump scare her.

Time passed, and Ruzzel still hasn’t arrived. We got tired of waiting and completely forgot about our plan. Then, I heard my mom talking to Ruzzel’s mom. “Ruzzel’s here!” I yelled. We ran downstairs, almost falling. We then gave Ruzzel a growling for being almost 3 hours late. We had dinner and ate the food Ruzzel’s mom cooked for us, she’s a really nice cook.

Katnisse helped me and Gabby set up the air mattress and Ruzzel picked some games for us to play. We played board games, watched a movie and ate snacks. After quite a while, we went to sleep. the room went silent but no one had fell asleep yet and it turned very awkward. We all started laughing out loudly for absolutely no reason at all. Before we knew it, we had all fell asleep.

The next morning, we said our goodbyes. It was very fun and i’m looking forward to having another sleepover with Katnisse and Ruzzel.

For todays Cybersmart challenge, we learned about how to take care of our Chromebooks and made posters about it. Never put your Chromebook on the floor, it might be stepped on. Always put it up on a table. Don’t run with your Chromebook and always hold it with two hands so you don’t accidentally drop it. Make sure you log out and shut your Chromebook down before leaving.

Today (Feb 5), we learned about Adele Euphrasie Barbier.  She was born in Caen France, on the 4th of January 1829. She worked at a laundry when she was thirteen and started her own laundry business at home at 17. Ever Euphrasie was little, she wanted to be a part of our even start a missionary. When she turned 19, she set off to France to join “the Sisters of the Calvary”, which was founded in 1840. From 1872-1886, she lived and worked in New Zealand, founding covents, schools and orphanages all across the country. She passed away in StAnns covent in Westbere, Kent, England on 18 January 1893.

The Prophet Isaiah was the first of the four major Prophets. His career began with an angel burning their lips. The seraph (angel) took a piece of coal from the altar and placed it on Isaiah’s mouth. It is traditionally believed that the Prophet Isaiah was killed by King Manasseh, by being cut in half with a wooden saw.

    Goku and Krillin have been training hard at Master Roshi’s island, focusing on their speed and strength for the next World Martial Arts Tournament. Bulma arrives in her jet-powered Capsule Car with urgent news: a powerful, but silly, new villain has appeared! This villain, perhaps a strange leftover from the Red Ribbon Army, has managed to steal one of the Dragon Balls and has hidden it high up a tricky mountain range guarded by bizarre traps. Bulma had announced it at the last minute and Goku already planned to go back to his house, so Goku decided to try to fight him or her. When he found friends to help him.

  Goku had to head back to his house so that he could keep it clean and safe just in case he would have nowhere else to stay when he’s on a mission. While traveling, Goku found two girls, one was picking strawberries and one trying to hypnotise one of their subjects. Goku decided to introduce himself. “Hi! Who are you guys and what are your names?” Goku yelled from afar. They also screamed at him to come down because they couldn’t hear him “What!? I can’t hear you!.” Goku hopped out of Kintoun, the girl picking up strawberries introduced herself first. “The name’s Hokkaido! The other one’s Mochii,”Hokkaido said, and she also invited Goku for dinner.

  As soon as they arrived at Hokkaido and Mochii’s house, Goku checked the fridge first. Then, two short people went downstairs looking upset. Mochii went and introduced them to Goku “this is Kinji and Kenji, they recently lost their third triplet, Kanji. Me and Hokkaido are still trying to find where he is”. “Nice hair, you two!” Goku said, trying to cheer them up. Kinji just stared in disbelief (he’s bald with one strand of hair) Hokkaido responded by saying “How does Kenji have nice hair?! He only has one strand of hair!” “heyyyy!” Kenji said, offended. Goku then went silent for a bit. “Oh hey! I can help you guys with Kanji!” Goku said, forgetting about his original task, Hokkaido had reminded Goku that it was dangerous. Hokkaido and Mochii wanted to help Goku so they agreed to come and follow along.Goku told Hokkaido and Mochii to hop onto Kintoun but Hokkaido thought it was dangerous so she opened a capsule, a bubble appeared and started floating. Mochii then opened a capsule herself, a flat platform shaped like a star poofed in front of her. Mochii then hopped on the platform and it started floating just like the bubble.

 After a few hours, they had reached the hideout.“sighh, all that sitting down made me hungry…”Goku said, as his stomach rumbled. Mochii pointed at a banana tree, “I mean, you can eat those if they’re ripe…!”she said. Goku hurried to the tree and ate all of them in 5 minutes, they all stared at Goku in disturbance. “Okay, I’m genuinely concer-”Hokkaido said, being interrupted by Kinji, “HOW DID YOU EAT THAT FAST?!” he screamed. Everything then went dark, no one could see anything. They heard a mischievous voice,“well, well, well, it seems like I have some visitors here!”. Goku couldn’t detect where the noise was coming from, the voice was coming from all over the hideout. “Hehehehh” Mochii grinned, as she pulled out a flashlight. “Show yourself!” Goku said. “Got it!” Kinji said as the lights turned back on. Then a cat corpse appeared, it was being puppeted by something. Its limbs were held and controlled with a string, its eyes pale white.“You have to fight this puppet first, before you meet me”, the voice said. Hokkaido took her staff, Mochii pulled out her hypnosis pendulum, Goku took his nyoibo and Kenji took out his toy sword, so did Kinji. Then, they saw  a gigantic dango sword and the puppet started to use it. Swoosh, swing! The dead cat corpse waved the weapon around, trying to aim for Kenji.”Kenji don’t lose your last strand of hair!”Hokkaido said. “HEY! Don’t be mean, that’s not nice!” Kenji yelled jokingly. 

  “Isn’t that…Dango?!” Mochii said, “WHAT!? THAT’S DANGO”Kenji said while crying. “That was my childhood friend”. “Don’t worry Kenji, we could wish him back with the dragon balls” Goku said. “Huh? Dragon Balls? What are those?” Kinji questioned while trying to hit Dango with his weapon. Then Dango tried to aim for  Hokkaido “It’s y0Ur F4ULt Th3Y bUIlt M3 l1k3 ThI5…! Y0u W1LL P4Y”the corpse said in a ghostly voice. The machine the mysterious person used suddenly died, “What happened? it stopped!” Mochii said.  “ You have to fight these horrible looking things now, heh”. Three goblins suddenly started throwing Kinji to the roof. Then the other three tried getting Mochii and Hokkaido’s weapons. Goku had an idea “ I can use Kintoun so I can get past these ugly goblins”Goku yelled. “ Oh, yeah…! Use your yellow cloud thingy, I’m sure it’ll help!”Kinji said. Goku hopped onto Kintoun and drove past the goblins. “Kinji, Kenji! You distract them, Hokkaido and I will defeat them, okay?”Mochii screamed from across the hideout. “Tick..tok….tick..tok….” went Mochii’s weapon. Mochii’s specialty was hypnotising people. “Hehehe! Now DIE!” she said while making them walk towards Hokkaido. Hokkaido used her staff to freeze the goblins. Then, Kinji and Kenji slashed them with their  toy swords. “Hehehe…HEHEHEHEEEE! Mehehee!” Mochii chuckled. “ We have to go find Goku…!” said Hokkaido. They then went flying in search of Goku.

   Meanwhile, Goku was trying to defeat Kanji, the oldest “evil” triplet. “YOU’LL NEVER DEFEAT ME! One day, the whole world will be my toys, my puppets, and that includes YOU!” Kanji said. “But you have a toy sword..”Goku replied. “I-i- uhm… IT DOESN’T MATTER! You’ll regret saying that when you’re one of my subjects!”. “Shush you meanie”Goku cried. Kanji tried aiming for Kintoun, but he missed. Goku swung his nyoibo to grab Kanji by the shirt, Kanji was then hanging on the nyoibo. “Let me down now! I command you to, NOW!” Kanji said while raging. Kanji heard a voice from above“KANJI! UP HERE!”. Kenji and Kinji had spotted him from above. “Kenji, Kinji! I missed you two. Did you see my puppet! I made it myself!”Kanji cried. “Isn’t that Dango?”Kenji questioned, “Yeah..! How did you know?”. Kinji and Kenji were shocked. “You mean you turned our old friend into a puppet?! Kanji, you can’t just turn people into puppets. The whole world can’t just be your toy!”. “Why not?” Kanji asked. “They’re not good actions. I know you get bored very easily, but that’s no reason to kill people! Right, Kenji?”Kinji said. “Exactly! People are just trying to live their lives, not be controlled and turned into puppets!”Kenji responded. “Oh…sorry…I didn’t know. I just wanted to surprise you guys. “ I promise I’ll turn Dango back! I’ll do it right now!”. The two then forgave Kanji for his actions, even though it caused them a lot of trouble.“You better!” Kinji said with a smile. They then went back to the hideout to restore Dango. 

  When they reached the hideout, Kanji made some potions to revive Dango. They put her in the machine and pulled the lever.  “Wha…what happened?”Dango said, half awake. “YOU TRIED TO KILL US YOU-”Mochii said jokingly. “Who’s  this kid?”Dango asked, “Hi! I’m Goku, hmm..you look like puar!”Goku said. “ Puar? That’s my brother…” Dango answered. “I’m sorry I turned into a puppet..” Kanji said. “Oh! That’s ok!”. They all said their farewells and headed back to their perspective places.

~THEN THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER! YAYY!~

Yesterday (Nov 13),  Room 7 learned how the human ear works and what happens inside of it. We watched a video talking all about our ears, it was very interesting and told us about things we never knew! They even explained how some other animal ears worked. Bird’s actually do have ears, they’re just covered by feathers. Bird feathers are soft, but the reason why they “protect” a birds ear is to actually prevent anything from going inside their ear. For the past few weeks, our class studied some episodes of Dragon Ball. In those episodes, there was a lot of something called “foreshadowing”.

Foreshadowing is when something gives clues about what will happen in the future. For example, one of the episodes we watched showed two specific characters who we haven’t seen in the past episodes (one named Fortuneteller Baba and the other one had a cat mask on). Master Korin then mentioned that the things/characters that Goku just saw were from the past, present and future. Since we haven’t seen those two before, it means that they were from the future.  Another example is when Mercenary Tao used a power to zap Goku. When he zapped him, he said “dodonpa”. This might be telling us that we would see someone else use this ability in the future.

Foreshadowing tells you only a bit about the future. If they just straight up spoiled the show, there would be no reason to watch it anymore because you’d know what would happen. It tells you some of the exciting part that people would want to watch and not any of the “boring” bits (such as filler episodes to make the show longer). The whole point of foreshadowing viewers/fans more interested in the show. Foreshadowing creates a lot of suspense and tension making you curious of what will happen next. When you reached the plot that was foreshadowed, it makes people think “oh, I should’ve seen that coming”. An example is that when Goku was fighting the cat-mask person, he new almost everything about Goku. I thought “how does this person know Goku? Perhaps they are related to Goku somehow”. Turns out, the cat-mask person was actually Goku’s Grandpa who had passed.
